Mission Statement

Our Story

RETeach Bakery is a mother–daughter, educator-owned cottage bakery creating bite-sized baked goodies and custom royal icing butter cookies that bring comfort, celebration, and connection to every event. Rachel and her mother, Leslie, are business partners and both Special Education teachers.

When Rachel had newborn twin boys in the middle of the pandemic, Leslie stepped away from the classroom to nanny the boys so Rachel could continue teaching. During that season they began baking for friends and family to make life’s moments feel extra special. What started as custom cookies for the people they love has grown into a purpose-driven brand built to support local educators and give back to their local community and more. Every order helps fuel the bigger picture.

RETeach vision: The RETeach Early Learning Academy (opening fall 2026), a future campus with a teacher supply store and in-store coffee shop featuring their bakery treats, and a 501(c)(3) foundation designed to pour into educators right in our local community.

ReTeach Collective

RETeach is an organic, intentional name—born from perfect timing and real-life educator experiences.

It’s the familiar scene teachers know too well: stacking classroom supplies into storage units and garages, cleaning out classrooms during moves, and stepping into the next chapter (sometimes more than once). What’s left behind? Full classrooms worth of materials—years of hard-earned money invested into meaningful learning tools, books, decor, and the student-made pieces teachers proudly display for years. Organization systems and office supplies get buried at the bottom of a Home Depot box that was supposed to be unpacked “two summers ago.” And somehow, the memories and the materials end up collecting dust in a paid storage unit—still perfectly usable.

Meanwhile, new and current educators continue going further into debt, building classrooms from nothing but love, faith, and their personal dime. They’ve all been there.

RETeach exists to start a movement—educators supporting educators. It’s a community-driven system designed to reduce the financial burden teachers carry by creating a New and “PreLoved” Educator Supply Store filled with quality educational supplies at discounted pricing that actually reflects what educators can afford. RETeach is taking what’s been sitting unused and giving it a second life, so the community can recycle, reuse, and reteach with purpose.

Over time, RETeach Collective has grown into an ecosystem—a movement built to support teachers, home educators, community learning environments, and the families they serve. With a combined 22 years of teaching experience, Leslie and Rachel are committed to going straight to the source: supporting the educator. Together, they’re building more than a store—they’re building opportunity, support, and community that strengthens local classrooms from the inside out.
